United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees - UNHCR is an United Nations (UN) agency engaged to lead and coordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. The Agency based in Geneva, Switzerland  and established on 14 December 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. In Indonesia, UNHCR started its operation since 1979 and has its main office in Jakarta and a presence in Medan, Makassar, Kupang, Tanjung Pinang, and Pontianak. In 1954 and 1981, UNHCR obtained the Nobel Peace Prizes.

Currently UNHCR Indonesia urgently requires the following position :

Senior Protection Assistant (UNOPS/GLS)
Vacancy No 12/INSJA/001-UNOPS
Duty Station : Cisarua, Bogor

Requirements

• Preferably a University Degree in Law, Political Studies or related studies with minimum of five years relevant experiences
• Excellent knowledge of English and Indonesian (written and spoken), knowledge of other UN language is an added asset
• Desirabe skills : communication, computer, good knowledge of UNHCR, excellent writting, good interviewing and counselling skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision
