The United Nations - UN or (Bahasa Indonesia : Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa/PBB) is New York based intergovernmental organization which was established in 1945. The United Nations was formed by 51 countries after the Second World War II to replace the League of Nations. The United Nations was committed to maintaining international peace and security. Currently, The United Nations had 193 member states and 2 observer states. The United Nations supported by 6 (six) principal organs, namely the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Secretariat, the International Court of Justice, and the United Nations Trusteeship Council. Since 2007, the United Nations was lead by a South Korea's diplomat Ban Ki-moon as the Secretary General of UN. Ban Ki-moon is the eighth Secretary-General of UN replacing Kofi Annan.

In order to increase the number of Indonesian working in the International organization, The United Nations through the Ministry of Foreign Affarirs of the Republic of Indonesia is looking for highly qualified Indonesian nationals who are ready to embark on a professional career as an international civil servant. 

United Nations Young Professional Programme (YPP) 2014

General Requirements

• Maximum age of 32 years old by the end of 2014.
• Holding at least first level university degree in the related fields.
• Fluent in English or French.
• Proficiency in other UN languages is a plus.
• No previous working experience needed.
• Willing to be posted to any country in the world.

Registration period and job families (online registration only)

1. 14 June - 13 August 2014 : Information Systems & Technology, Political Affairs
2. 21 June - 20 August 2014 : Economic Affairs, Radio Production (Arabic / Chinese / Swahili / Russian / Spanish)
3. 28 June - 26 August 2014 : Human Rights
