Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme - BNPT or the National Agency for Combating Terrorism is a non-ministerial government institution in Indonesia, which has the task of carrying out government duties in the field of counter-terrorism. BNPT is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl Imam Bonjol No 53 - 55 Menteng Jakarta. The Institution was founded in 2010 based on the Presidential Decree No. 46 of 2010. BNPT is under and responsible ditrectly to the President of Republic of Indonesia through the coordination of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security. BNPT was lead by a Chief and currently is held by Ansyaad Mbai. In performing his tasks, the Chief of BNPT is assisted 1 Main Secretariat, 1 inspectorate, and 3 Deputies.
