MEDICAL INFORMATION OFFICER

ROLE PURPOSE
Under Training and Medical Manager’s supervision, the Medical Information Officer would be responsible for medical research, providing medical information and supports materials of a technical nature. The information will need to be referenced in accordance guidelines set by the Training & Medical manager and communicated in a professional and timely manner.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Collaborate with the Marketing/Business Development teams to establish their needs for medical-related references that are appropriate for our promoted products.
  • Provide medical information required for products claims, promotions and communication materials.
  • Build relationships with key medical professionals & institutions to ensure a good supply of quality information and resource materials.
  • Assist the marketing teams in building close relationship with medical professions to improve the Sandoz brand image & credibility, ie. Attending scientific events as agreed with the line managers.
  • Ensure that any marketing materials ( presentations, advertising, sales tools etc ) contain suitable and accurate medical information.
  • Response promptly to scientific / medically enquiries from the sales or marketing team.
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing team in conducting product presentation (only function as the last resource) or medical training to field force.
  • Assist Training and Medical Manager in developing basic medical knowledge during induction program or national training.
  • Lead the assigned projects from Medical Manager (incl. PMS, local trials, etc).
  • Support Medical Manager as the LPPV in handling ADR (adverse drug reactions).
REQUIREMENTS
  • Educational: Medical Doctor, Bachelor in Physiology, Biology, Pharmacy, Nursing Care, or Physiotherapy
  • Experience: 1-3 years experiences in medical or training department in pharmaceutical industry Experience in product management of pharmaceutical industry would be an additional advantage
  • Technical Qualifications: Communication & Presentation skills as well as Medical Knowledge
  • Computer Qualifications: Microsoft Office (MS Words, Power Points, MS Excel, Internet Explorer, or Adobe)
  • Language Qualification: English competency
