Data Interface Developer - IT

Responsibilities:
He/she will be responsible for building the database transformation and load programs.

Qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years of programming experience (any of Visual Basic, C++, Java, etc)
• Data analysis; defining data field requirements, defining formats; source-to-target interface mapping
• Strong working experience with SQL (including stored procedures) within the SQL Server 2000 environment (and SQL Server tools such as DTS); Relational Database experience; Developing ETL scripts using SQL and Transact-SQL
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (specifically Design Specifications, Programming Documentation & Sign-Off, Program Documentation, Test Scripting, Test Result documentation, bug fixing and version control)
• Flat-file manipulation, programming batch jobs
• Working Programming experience with projects that have included data application interfaces
• Working experience of Customer-centric Data warehouse projects
• Experience with Cognos Impromptu and PowerPlay; with ETL tools; in query optimization, bulk data loading, stored procedure programming, etc would be advantages
• Working experience with General Insurance industry would also be an advantage
