Senior Business Analyst
(Code: SR-BA)
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate analysis of physical and financial data, reports and recommendations to support effective operating cost control and capital spending within the respective Divisions.
- Assist Managers and Superintendents within the operating divisions to optimize the cost efficiencies of their areas by coaching and supporting them on financial and commercial procedures and aspects of KPC business activities on an on-going basis.
- Coordinate and assist in preparing high quality quarterly forecasts and annual Plans.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications (S1 degree) in Accounting, Engineering or a Business discipline with 5 years relevant work experience in manufacturing, mining or heavy engineering industries, encompassing a broad range of practical financial, production, maintenance, technical and people management issues.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Oral & Written) in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Specialist - Coal Technology

Responsibilities:
Key elements of the position include:
- Analyze and correlate all parameters of coal quality such as proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, ash analysis, trace element analysis, specific energy, grind ability, size distribution etc in each shipment and each customer in order to provide the information to be used for superior.
- Conduct projects as directed by superior with the objective of improving the coal quality for the end use customers.
- Conduct special investigation of any concern / requirements / complaint raise by the end use customer related with the quality of coal.
- Liaise with international recognized Laboratory such as: AcTest Australia, BVIT Australia, SGS Australia, SABS South Africa, Inco lab BV, and many others to conduct umpire analysis or use their services.
- Monitor and analyze the temperature of coal at stockpile in order to ensure the coal temperature to be loaded to ship can be managed properly as a standard.
- Providing and analyzing data quality and technical information to management or customers such as: temperature during loading, coal seam source, rainfall, blend plan, and ages of stockpile, etc.
- To trace the coal seam source of the coal mined, coal crushed and coal dump at the ROM stockpiles from the dispatch in order to produce the data to be used in management of coal quality.
- Correlate the coal quality data start from pit geologist coal sample analysis result, coal crushed, coal conveyed and coal shipped.
- Prepare graphical representations of quality to enable ease of interpretation of the data.
- Responsible for supervising preparation and delivery Buyer, Market, and Umpire sample.
- Assisting Superintendent Coal Technical Services to establish KPC’s coal specification and give advice to Marketing related with coal specification for tender or other technical purposes.
- Making and reporting monthly report quality to Superintendent and Manager Coal Technology.
Requirements:
- S1 graduate in metallurgical / mining / geology / chemical engineering / chemistry or equivalent with 3 -5 years experience working in coal quality environment.
- Recognize and understand coal quality and standards to analyze coal, for example ISO, ASTM BS etc.
- Statistical Process Control and computer literacy is essential for interpretation the data.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Highly self motivated with ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate to ability to think laterally.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
