Head of Takaful

Responsibilities:
  • Creating and grow the country Takaful portfolio & marketing strategy in conjunction with the Country PCM and All Distribution Channel
  • Preparing and update an annual Takaful budget and plan of activity based on market opportunities and established strategies
  • Developing new products and identifying alternative distribution systems, as well as promoting an increased awareness of bundled products, which require cooperation with Country PCM
  • Developing relationships with all peer group within the major producing firms, maintain contact with competitors as part of our market awareness and be familiar with regulatory entities that affect their position, e.g. trade associations, government bodies, etc
  • Responsible for achieving an underwriting profit, predicated on a specific combined loss and expense ratio agreed upon with senior management
  • Responsible to reduce the expense component of the combined ratio in conjunction with Country PCM and All Distribution Channel.Manager and his staff have a responsibility for developing systems and procedural enhancements designed to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. Another aspect of expense management is the control of acquisition costs
  • Responsible to develop and training of the department’s professional staff countrywide
  • Responsible to assist accounting, claims and legal in litigious matters where necessary
  • Ad-hoc special projects or requirements that may arise from time to time
Requirements:
  • Possess recognized takaful insurance qualification and/or relevant tertiary degree from a recognized institution
  • Solid insurance underwriting, risk management or broking background essential
  • Someone who really understands the banking segment. Understands how to engage banks and understands the processes and can provide a strong business development approach.
  • Risk assessment including new business reinsurance negotiations and developing renewal retention strategies.
  • Experience in dealing with corporate business
  • Possess relationship management and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Underwriter – Marine

Responsibilities:
  • Assist underwriting process in Marine
  • Responsible to process and manage incoming Marine policy applications within authority limit and to maintain existing accounts
  • Provide good customer service to key producers including assisting them on product knowledge
  • Maintain and improve relationships with key producers, clients and industry groups
  • Identifying growth opportunities, new business segments, new product opportunities to support growth objectives
  • Increase Chartis market share through new business development and new distributions
  • Liaise with administration staff, legal, claims, finance and accounting and any other services centre to ensure awareness of underwriting and business activities support standards required
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree
  • Have minimum 2 years working experience in general insurance industry
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written and have strong drive to succeed
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
  • Computer literate
  • Attend to details
  • Hold AAAIK certificate would be an advantage
Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities:
  • Bridging IT and the end users
  • Providing day-to-day system support, ad-hoc reports for business users, and work around, assessing, anticipating user needs in performing their duties
  • Learning business requirements in a changing environment
  • Reporting the requirements and coordinating with development team
  • Coordinating and assisting users in UAT
  • Training and documentation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in computer science
  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
  • Experience in insurance/financial system will be a plus
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Programming skills including database design
  • Proficient in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, JavaScript, VBScript
  • Proficient in server platforms and software
  • Possess working knowledge of Sybase, SQL Server, MSACCESS 98, report generators, etc
  • Knowledge of advanced SQL including building stored procedures a plus
  • Possess working knowledge of common web tools and techniques
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels
Administration Staff

Responsibilities:
Assisting in administrative works and others works related to handle and serve our customer needs

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree from reputable university
  • Have minimum 1 year working experience in general insurance industry
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written and have strong drive to succeed
  • Familiar with MS Office (advance in Excel and Power Point)
  • Good analytical thinking and customer focus
  • Able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
  • Willing to be work as temporary employee
Office Services Staff

Responsibilities:
  • To ensure effective and efficient management of office facilities and general administration
  • To ensure appropriate maintenance of all office equipment
  • To manage office space allocation and design some lay out for structure, interior and re-arranged the work station to get optimal position based on standard furniture
  • To handle arrangements of office transportation and maintenance
  • To maintain relationships with Landlord, building management, and other parties
  • To track and control company’s inventory
  • To do ad-hoc assignments, as given by manager or management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree (S1) Architecture / Engineering (Fresh Graduate are welcomed)
  • Understand in English verbal & written
  • Able to use AutoCAD, Scetchup, 3D Max & MS Office / Open Office
  • Independent, creative, responsible, punctual, honest, hard worker, have high level of discipline and commitment on work
  • Have a good ability to work both as team or individual
Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Formulate strategic quality projections and proposals for senior management level approval
  • Lead internal and external stakeholders in each and every target sponsor project
  • Acquisition of 3 - 4 new Business / Sponsors each year
  • To seek and source business opportunities in varied industries from Bank, Financial Institutions to Retail, Modern Trades, and Telecommunication to internet Retailers, etc.
  • Work with Country and Regional Management to identify, and fulfil, country product needs
  • Develop, build and grow newly acquired Business / Sponsors through first campaign launches for the first 6 months
  • To evaluate, target and sign up Business / Sponsors for strategic and long term business
Requirements:
  • At least bachelor degree in any discipline
  • At least 5 years experience in direct marketing or retail industry, preferably in insurance or banking
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skill with senior levels
  • Strong presentation and communication skill in the local language and English is a must
  • Some campaign launch and management experience preferred
  • Detail in thought process and through in work output
  • Ability to turn around work fast and to garner team spirit from stakeholders
