The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat is the nerve centre of ASEAN, a regional inter-governmental organisation founded in 1967, to promote peace and stability, sustained economic growth, shared prosperity and social progress. It comprises the ten countries of Southeast Asia. Currently the ASEAN Secretariat is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the positions of:

Technical Assistant Finance

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Management or an appropriate related field or discipline with a minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in technical role.
  • Technical skills and knowledge in the relevant area or the demonstrated ability to quickly acquire them.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to the position.
  • Sound command of English, written and spoken.
  • Monthly salary: IDR 3,500,000.

Technical Officer - Media

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or preferably postgraduate degree in Journalism, Linguistics, Literature, Mass Communication, or other similar disciplines;
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in journalism and editorial work, or in a media and communications office, with proven track record in designing and carrying out public communication activities;
  • Proven excellence in written and spoken English language, notwithstanding the use of local language may be required when interacting with the local members of the media, partners and stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of website management, social media platforms and photography; as well as that of the use of modern audio-, video- and photo-editing technologies;
  • Sound understanding of international and regional issues and knowledge of ASEAN ideals; and a keen interest and initiative to learn them;
  • Exposure of a wide spectrum of corporate affairs, community relations and public communications in past work experiences, and ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with various stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with diplomatic practices and protocol, and experience in dealing with senior government and international organisation officials;
  • Sensitivity to accuracy and details, as well as capacity for proof-reading;
  • Ability and technical skills to research and acquire data; and
  • Ability to work under pressing deadlines.
  • Monthly salary: IDR 5,000,000.

Technical Assistant - Graphic Designer

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or preferably postgraduate degree in Graphic Design or other similar disciplines;
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in graphic design work, with proven track record highly attractive and effective outputs;
  • Familiar with computer graphics and design software; as well as with various page layout, illustration and photograph editing software packages;
  • Creative and able to communicate ideas visually;
  • Possess good design skills that could promote effective marketing and communication;
  • Open to new ideas and influences, and quick to react to changing trends;
  • Self-discipline to start projects independently, to budget their time, and to meet deadlines and production schedules;
  • Sensitive to accuracy and details;
  • Able to work independently and under pressing deadlines.
  • Monthly salary: IDR 3,500,000.

Technical Officer ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) Support Unit

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, information technology and/or any other related social science discipline; Master’s degree is an advantage;
  • Adequate knowledge in project management (including monitoring);
  • Extensive knowledge and experience on information data base management; experience on trade-related data management is an added advantage;
  • Knowledge on WTO, international trade, regional integration and market access;
  • Adequate exposure to meetings related to regional trade agreements;
  • Must have an excellent analytical, research, and presentation skills;
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English; and
  • Must be computer proficient. Must have a working knowledge of computer software for data manipulation.
  • Monthly salary: IDR 8,000,000.

Technical Assistant Human Resources Information System

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, human resources management, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum two (2) years relevant work experience in technical role, particularly in Human Resource Administration support function.
  • Technical skills and knowledge in the relevant area or the demonstrated ability to quickly acquire them.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings.
