Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal Republik Indonesia - BKPM or the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia is a non ministrial institution in Indonesian Government with main task to boost investment in Indonesia both domestic and foreign direct investment through creating a conducive investment climate. This institution was established in 1973, replace the functions of Panitia Teknis Penanaman Modal which was formed in 1968. BKPM's head office based in Jakarta and located in Jl Jend Gatot Subroto 44 Jakarta. The Institution reporting directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia and since June 2012, BKPM is chaired by Chatib Basri.
