The Company obtained the broadcasting permission in October 1998 and officialy on air in 2001. The Company based in South Jakarta and operated as a part subsidiaries of PT Trans Corporation, a business unit of CT Corp in the field of media, lifestyle, and entertainment. The Company programming includes variety shows, gossip shows, religious programs, soap operas, movies, and regular news. All of its programs broadcasted in all over Indonesia. In 2010, Trans TV received an award from Marketer Award as the Favourites Brand in Indonesia's most favorite netizen brand 2010. In 2012, Trans TV also obtained an award from Frontier Consulting Group in Corporate Image (IMAC) Award 2012 in category of National Television "Excellence in Building and Managing Corporate Image".
