Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Laut - TNI AL or the Indonesian Navy is a part of Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) or the Indonesian National Armed Forces, responsible for naval/marine operations. The Indonesian Navy headquartered in Jakarta and had 2 Komando Armada, including Koarmabar or Komando Armada RI Kawasan Barat in Tanjung Priok Jakarta and Koarmatim or Komando Armada RI Kawasan Timur in Surabaya East Java. TNI AL also operates 1 Kolonlamil or Komando Lintas Laut Militer in Tanjung Priok Jakarta. Currently, TNI AL supported by approximately 68,800 personnels, including 18,500 marines and 1,090 flight personnels. TNI AL also supported bt more than 138 naval warships (KRI), including 40 units of KRI Striking Force, 50 units of KRI Patrolling Force, 48 units of KRI Supporting Force.
