Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta - UNY or commonly known as Yogyakarta State University is a reputable state university in Indonesia, situated in Sleman District of the Yogyakarta Special Territory. Originally registered as Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Yogyakarta (IKIP Yogyakarta), which was founded in 1964 as a merger of 2 educational institutions in Yogyakarta, namely the Faculty of Pedagogy of Gadjah Mada University and the Teacher Education Institute. The name Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta was launched in 1999. As at December 2012, UNY supported by 7 faculties, and 1 graduate school. The College operates 64 regular undergraduate study programs, 16 regular graduate study programs, and 6 international undergraduate study programs. The University also supported by 1,040 lecturers, including 171 doctoral holders and 114 professors.
