Badan Informasi Geospasial - BIG or Geospatial Information Agency is a non-ministerial agency in Indonesian government that deals with geospatial information. The agency was formed in 2011 and was formerly known as Badan Koordinasi Survei dan Pemetaan Nasional (Bakosurtanal). The Agency is under and responsible to the President of Republic of Indonesia. In carrying out its duties and functions, BIG in coordinated with the Ministry of Research and Technology. Badan Informasi Geospasial headquartered in Pusat Penelitian, Promosi dan Kerjasama Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) Jl Raya Jakarta - Bogor KM 46 Cibinong 16911. The Head of Badan Informasi Geospasial is Asep Karsidi. The Head of BIG is assisted by 3 deputies, namely Deputy Basic Geospatial Information, Deputy Geospatial Thematic Information, and Deputy Geospatial Information Infrastructure.
