Kementerian Dalam Negeri Republik Indonesia - Kemendagri or the Ministry of Home Affairs of Republic Indonesia is a government ministry in Indonesia which oversees the home affairs of Indonesia. The Ministry has the task to assist the President of Republic Indonesia in running the state administration in the field of home affairs. The Ministry was set up in 1945 and formerly known as the Department of Home Affairs (Departemen Dalam Negeri - Depdagri). Kemendagri is based in Jakarta and its head office is situated in Jl Medan Merdeka Utara No 7 Jakarta Pusat. The Ministry of Home Affairs is headed by a Minister that since 2009 chaired by Gamawan Fauzi, replacing Mardiyanto.
