Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan - Kalsel or the Province of South Kalimantan is a province of Indonesia, lies on southeastern part of the island of Borneo (Kalimantan). The provincial capital of Kalsel is Banjarmasin. The Province of South Kalimantan has an area of 38,744.23 km2 and devided into 9 regencies and 2 cities, namely Kota Baru Regency, Tanah Bumbu Regency, Tanah Laut Regency, Banjarbaru City, Banjar Regency, Banjarmasin City, Barito Kuala Regency, Tapin Regency, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, Balangan Regency, and Tabalong Regency. The population of Kalsel was recorded at 3,626,119 people at the 2010 Census held by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The Province of South Kalimantan is led by a Governor, and currently held by Rudi Arifin.
