Kabupaten Kendal - Kendal or the Regency of Kendal is a regency in Central Java, situated in northern part of Central Java province. The Regency is located at 109 ° 40 '- 110 ° 18' east longitude and 6 ° 32 '- 7 ° 24' South Latitude. The Regency is bordered to Batang regency in the west, Semarang city in the East, Java Sea in the north, and Semarang regency and Temanggung regency in the south. The Regency of Kendal has an area of 1,002.23 km² and administratively divided into 20 districts, 265 villages and 20 urban villages. The Regency of Kendal is headed by a Regent and currently held by Widya Kandi Susanti. She is assisted by Muhammad Mustamsikin as a vice regent. According to the latest data from the Population and Civil Registration Office of Kendal Regency (Dispendukcapil), the population of the Regency of Kendal in 2012 was 1,104,961 people.
