PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) - PT PLN (Persero) or PLN is a national electricity power company of Indonesia and is 100% owned by the Government of Indonesia. The Company is based in Jakarta with principal activities covers electricity services to its customers in all over Indonesia, include power generation, distribution, transmission and other services related to electricity. Originally registered as Electricity and Gas Bureau, which was founded in 1961.  PT PLN (Persero) was launched in 1994. As of December 2012, PLN has 46 business units, 11 directly owned subsidiaries, 8 associates, and also 2 joint ventures. PT PLN (Persero) booked Rp232.66 trillion in  total electric power sales in 2012, according to PLN Annual Report 2012 as cited by JobsCDC.com. This amount is an increase of 11.8% over the same period in 2011 amounted to Rp208.02 trillion.
