Saipem SpA is a strategic subsidiary of oil and gas giant from Italy Eni SpA. In Indonesia, Saipem is based in Jakarta and commenced its operation in the mid of 1980s. In 2011, PT Saipem Indonesia started to operate the Saipem Karimun Fabrication Yard (Karimum Branch) at Karimun Regency, Riau Islands province and become the first international contractor for Oil & Gas investment on the island of Karimun.
