PT Vale Indonesia Tbk - PTVI or known as Vale Indonesia is a leading multinational mining investment company in Indonesia. Originally registered as PT International Nickel Indonesia (INCO) in 1968. The Company having 190.510 hectares of contract of work for integrated mining and processing facilities at Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. PT Vale Indonesia Tbk is a local subsidiary company of Vale S.A, the Brazilian multinational diversified metals and mining groups. By the end of 2013, Vale SA through Vale Canada Limited owned 58.73% shares in this company, while the remaining was owned by Sumitomo Metal Mining Co Ltd (20.09%), the public (20.14%), Vale Japan Limited (0.55%), Mitsui & Co Ltd. (0.35%), and Sumitomo Corporation (0.14%). According to PTVI's 2013 annual report as quoted by JobsCDC.com, Vale Indonesia produced 75,802 metric ton nickel in matte, a 7% higher than production in 2012 amounted to 70,717 metric ton nickel in matte.
As part of the Company's business expansion, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk is looking for experienced highly competent and self motivated profesionals to fill the following position :
Geotech Engineer (Code: GE-R)

Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (S1) majoring in Mining, Geologist or Civil Engineering from a reputable University.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 (scale 4.00).
- At least 3 years of working experience in the field of Geotechnical, preferably in disposal, dyke, earthworks, and drainage works.
- Must be fluent in English written and oral.
- Familiar with Micorsoft Office application (Word, Excel, powerpoint).
- Familiar with Vulcan/SURPAC or other mine software and slope stability software is a preferable
- Certifed Pangawas Operasional Pratama (POP) from ESDM and Field Mine Supervisor is preferred.
