Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional - BKKBN or The National Population and Family Planning Board is a non ministrial agency in Indonesian Government with main task to implement the government duties in the field of population control and family planning. BKKBN is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl Permata No 1 Halim Perdanakusuma Jakarta. On June 2013, Prof. Fasli Jalal (former Deputy Minister of Education and Culture) was appointed by the the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as head of BKKBN. In performing his tasks, the Head of BKKBN is assisted by 1 Inspector, 1 Secretary and 5 deputies, namely Deputy of Advocacy, mobilization and Information, Deputy of Family Welfare and Family Empowerment, Deputy of Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Deputy of Population Control, and Deputy of Training, Reasearch and Development.
