Badan Tenaga Nuklir Nasional - BATAN or the National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia. The Agency is a non-ministrial government agency in Indonesia to carry out the basic tasks of government functions in research, development and utilization of nuclear energy. The Agency is under and responsible to the President of Republic Indonesia. BATAN is based in Jakarta and its principal office is located at Jl Kuningan Barat, Mampang Prapatan Jakarta, 12710. At present, the Agency supported by 4 nuclear facilities, namely Serpong Nuclear Facility, Pasar Jumat Nuclear Facility, Yogyakarta Nuclear Facility, and Bandung Nuclear Facility. Since 2012, the Chairman of BATAN is Djarot Sulistio Wisnubroto. He is assisted by 4 deputies.
