Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kesejahteraan Rakyat - Kemenko Kesra the Coordinating Ministry for Social Welfare of Republic of Indonesia is the Ministry in Indonesian government ministry in charge of coordination in the field of social welfare and poverty alleviation, both planning and policy formulation, policy implementation and synchronization. In carrying out its duties, Kemenko Kesra coordinate the Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, the Ministry of Housing, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other agencies as deemed necessary. Kemenko Kesra is directly under and responsible to the President of Republic Indonesia. Since October 2009, the Ministry was lead by HR Agung Laksono as the Coordinating Minister for Social Welfare (Menko Kesra).
