As of 2008, The Province of West Java is administratively divided into 17 regencies, 9 cities with 625 districts and 5,877 villages. Th organizational structure of the Provincial Government of West Java consists of 1 Regional Secretariat with 12 Bureau and the Secretariat of Parliament, 20 Offices, 17 Agencies, 17 Technical Units, 3 other Institutions, 3 Regional Hospitals, 121 Regional Technical Implementation Units (UPTD), and 1 Technical Implementation Agency.
