PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk - Bank Mandiri is a state-owned commercial banks in Indonesia which is controlled by the Government of Indonesia. The Bank is a public company and its shares are traded on the stock market (IDX) under the code BMRI. At present, 60% of its shares are held by the Government of Indonesia, and 40% remaining shares by public. Bank Mandiri was formed by the Government of Indonesia in 2 October 1998 as part of the Indonesia's bank restructuring program. In July 1999, four state-owned banks (Bank Bumi Daya, Bank BDN, Bank EXIM and Bapindo) were merged to become Bank Mandiri. As of June 2015, Bank Mandiri supported by 2,327 branches, 2,831 Micro Outlets, and 17,032 ATMs which serve 16.48 million deposit accounts and 1.58 million loan accounts.
In term of financial performance, Bank Mandiri recorded a satisfiying financial result in the second quarter of 2015 (Q2 2015, ended in 30 June 2015). Bank Mandiri managed to record a total asset of Rp 914.1 trillion at the end Q2 2015. Despite of the economy slow down, Bank Mandiri posted an increase of 13.8% in total loan from Rp 485.8 trillion in Q2 2014 to Rp 552.8 trillion in Q2 2015.
