Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia - Kemhan is The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia. Kemhan is the Indonesian government ministries in charge of defense affairs. Kemhan was formerly known as the Department of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia or Departemen Pertahanan (Dephan). Kemhan is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl Medan Merdeka Barat No 13-14 Jakarta Pusat. Kemhan is headed by a Minister of Defense (Menhan) that since 27 October 2014 held by Gen. (Ret.) Ryamizard Ryacudu. In performing its duties, the Minister of Defense assisted by 5 expert staff, namely Technology and Industrial Expert Staff, Political Expert Staff, Economic Expert Staff, Social Expert Staff, and Security Expert Staff. The Ministry also supported by 4 Directorate Generals.
