Perusahaan Umum Lembaga Kantor Berita Nasional Antara - Perum LKBN Antara or referred to as "LKBN ANTARA" is the national news agency of Indonesia. LKBN ANTARA is a state-owned media company and operates primarily as a suppliers of news and photo reports to the many media companies in both Indonesia and overseas. LKBN ANTARA also provides other supporting products and services such as data services and money and stock market information (Indonesia Market Quote/IMQ), the dissemination of the press release (PRWire) and journalism education (Lembaga Pendidikan Jurnalistik ANTARA). LKBN ANTARA is a close State-Owned Public Company. The whole Company's shares is under the control of the Government of Indonesia. Based in Jakarta, LKBN ANTARA now has 34 domestic representative offices and 4 overseas bureaus. LKBN ANTARA was first established in 1937 as Naamloze Vennootschap (NV) Kantor Berita Antara. In 1962, NV Kantor Berita Antara became official National News Agency under the Presidential decree no 307 of 1962. The name of Perusahaan Umum Lembaga Kantor Berita Nasional officially established in 2007.
According to Perum LKBN Antara Annual Report 2016 as cited by JobsCDC.com, Perum LKBN Antara managed to record total revenue of Rp 283.68 billion in 2016. This total revenue figures reflected an 1.70% increase from Rp 278.92 billion in 2015. Total net income in 2016 amounted to Rp 9.16 billion or down 30.52% from Rp 13.19 billion in the previous year. Total asset went up 17.12 % from Rp 146.81 billion in 2015 to Rp 171.95 billion in 2016.
