According to information found in PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Annual Report 2017 as cited by JobsCDC.com, PT KAI (Persero) managed to strengthen its financial performance in 2017. Total revenue increased by 24.03% to Rp 17,938.97 billion as compared to Rp 14,463.33 billion in 2016. In 2017, total net income for the year achieved Rp 1,720.31 billion. That number was 68.95% higher than Rp 1,018.24 billion total net income for the year booked in 2016. Referring to its annual report, total passenger volume in 2017 reached 394,204,877 passengers. This reflected an 11.9% increase from 352,309,298 passengers in 2016.

General Requirements
- Indonesian citizen (WNI).
- Male.
- Physically / mentally healthy.
- Have a high school diploma with minimum NEM / UAN score of 6.0.
- Minimum age of 18 years and maximum 25 years old.
- Height
- Minimum height of 160 cm for Pemeliharaan dan Teknologi Informasi.
- Minimum height of 165 cm for Operasional.
- Not tattooed and not pierced.
- Well behaved and not involved in drugs or psychotropic substances.
- Never been sentenced to imprisonment based on court decisions that have been of permanent legal force.
- Never dismissed in a subsidiary or other institution due to disciplinary punishment.
- Willing to be placed in all working areas of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).
- Passed in all selection process organized by the recruitment committee of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) in 2018.
- Operasional (Masinis, PPKA & Juru Langsir) and Pemeliharaan (Sarana, Sinyal Telekomunikasi & Listrik and Jalan Rel & Jembatan) : will be prioritized to be placed in the Regional Division I of North Sumatra (DIVRE I Sumatera Utara).
- Teknologi Informasi : placement in all working area of KAI.
