PT Telekomunikasi Selular - Telkomsel is the Country's largest mobile phone / cellular operators. As of December 2017, Telkomsel has a total of 196.3 millions total customer base, both pre paid and post paid customers. With a total of 160,000 BTS units, Telkomsel is recognized as the largest cellular operator with the widest network coverage in Indonesia, with estimated 2G population coverage of almost 100%, 3G population coverage of 85% and 4G population coverage of 80%. PT Telekomunikasi Selular is a strategic subsidiary company of state-owned telecommunication giant PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TELKOM Group, IDX:TLKM). At present, Telkomsel is 65% owned by TELKOM Group and 35% by Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd (Singtel Mobile). Singtel Mobile is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asia’s leading communications group Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel, SGX:ST). Telkomsel is based in Jakarta and its operations are divided into 11 regions across Indonesia and served by more than 5,100 employees.
In term of financial performance, Telkomsel managed to recorded good performance in the business year of 2017. According to information found in PT Telekomunikasi Selular Annual Report 2017 as cited by JobsCDC.com, PT Telekomunikasi Selular managed to record total revenue of Rp 93.2 trillion at the end of 2017 or growth by 7% from Rp 86.7 trillion total revenue in 2016. Referring to its annual report, Total net income in 2017 recorded as Rp 30.4 trillion, an 8% increased to Rp 28.2 trillion in the previous year.
